    TahoeTreetop Adventures

    Tahoe Treetops treats guests to elaborate ropes courses and zip lines setups, in three separate locations—Tahoe City, Tahoe Vista, Squaw Valley. The activities consist of traveling between treetop platforms via rope ladders, climbing walls, zip lines, and other aerial obstacles. This is an excellent way to explore the beauty of the forest while being excitingly challenged. Most courses are at least 2 hours long.

    The Tahoe Via Ferrata hosted and guided by Alpenglow Expeditions, is a classic take on a European method of traveling the high alps. Such routes are a mix of scrambling, hiking, protected climbing, and metal rope bridges to navigate vast mountain faces and exposure. The Tahoe Via Ferrata is a hiking route up the famed Squaw Valley Tram Face. Alpenglow Expeditions guides climbers through the course, as well as providing needed safety equipment, guiding instruction, and assistance up the face. Though seemingly daunting, this Via Ferrata is an excellent group activity for families and climbers of any experience. Besides being challenged by the course itself, climbers drink in amazing views of the granite face and valley below. This climb is an unforgettable experience for any adventurer. Guests can book 2.5-hour or 4-hour daily climbs with other adventurers, or private climbs. Children must be 10-years old, weigh at least 88lbs, and be over 47″ tall. Guests interested in private tours can contact Alpenglow if they have children just younger than 10-years old; exceptions can be made.

    NASTC(North American Ski Training & Climbing School)

    NASTC provides guided climbing trips in the splendor of the sierra crest around Donner summit. Climbers enjoy paramount views while navigating the crags, cracks, vista’s, and castles of local climbing sites. NASTC showers guests with their passion for climbing, as they lead adventurers through climbs tailored to ability and comfort level. This is a great way to explore the ancient granite of the high sierra while being faced with the mental and physical challenges of rock climbing. NASTC will guide all ages and ability levels. Climbs range from technically easy, yet splendorous, ascents to multi-pitch expert adventures.
